MINUTES OF A MEETING OF HOLME LACY PARISH COUNCIL HELD AT 7.00 PM, TUESDAY,
17th OCTOBER 2017, IN THE VILLAGE HALL, HOLME LACY

98/17. ELECTRICAL INSPECTION
The electrical inspection had raised serious issues about the safety of the club pavilion and which meant that it could not be used until the problems had been put right.
Berry & Davies had submitted a quote of £983.60 + VAT. Mr Hince had a verbal quote which was around the same figure. He would investigate other quotes. He was very anxious to have the pavilion back in use as soon as possible because the Club would be fined if it had to move games more than once or twice. He would let the Parish Council know as soon as he had other quotes.
The Football Club would make a contribution towards the cost.
There were also some issues raised about the village hall mostly involving emergency lighting. The Chairman was meeting with Herefordshire Fire Services the following week to look at these.
There being no other business the meeting was closed.

PF8/17. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
The minutes of the meeting of 6 June 2017 were agreed as a correct record and signed by the
Chairman.
PF9/17. GROUND MAINTENANCE
(1) Fences and gates – no problems.
(2) Play equipment – no problems
(3) Football pitch – in good order
(4) Club hut – the electrical inspection had identified a number of serious issues and until these were rectified it could not be used. This had been discussed at the Parish Council meeting preceding this meeting and quotes were obtained.
(5) Grass cutting – satisfactory.
(6) Signs – the Clerk could not find round signs. Mr Bishop to investigate.

Weekly inspection reports were handed in by Mr Bishop
